This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    i was playing around gutsy in my x61s... and it crashed the system.
    Anyway, i ordered recovery dis from lenovo (cost $45)


    I put dis 1 in external dvd rom and the recovery started. However, it keeps on asking me to insert dis 1 in D drive to start the recovery, which is already in the dvd rom. I tried to reinsert the dis. But it still does not work.
