    hey guys. i currently have my thinkvantage button on my x230 set up to open notepad. is there anyway i can make it open a more useful program such as power manager?

    nice, thanks. i edited it to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\ThinkPad\Utilities\PWMUI.EXE" but i just see the splash page and then it disappears. anyone know whats up?

    figured it out:

    go to notepad, paste following text:


    @echo off
    cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\ThinkPad\Utilities\PWMUI.EXE"
    start PWMUI
    cls


    name the file as "runapp.bat" and save directly on your C:\ drive



    Open notepad again, paste following text

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00


    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IBM\TPHOTKEY\8001]
    "File"="c:\\runapp.bat"


    save it as a ".reg" file, name it whatever. open in it once you've save it, and you're done!
