    I am wondering how you would go about generically estimating a value for your used thinkpad to put on for sale.

    One way could be by looking at the prices at which similarly spec'ed machines like yours command in the online marketplace. I suppose you could check on places like eBay etc.

    usually the thinkpads lose about 80% of their original RRP value 3 to 4 years after purchase.
