i asked that kinda in the t400 review thread but that dosent seem to get alot of traffic.

i was also wondering if the t400 could output to tv ( composite or rca) through vga becasue i know that some card let you do that.

I'm very interested too...the T61 didn't support tv-out through vga and i'm inclined to say the same for my T400...the simple cable adaptors are not sufficient and you'll most likely need an actual pc2tv converter ($30 to over $100, check amazon)... i was lucky enough to pick up an old Antec TVator at the farmer's market for $4...i'm able to use it to output to other monitors (because the device supports RCA, S-video, and vga in and out), so i know the device still works...

however, i've had trouble connecting it to our tv at home...thinking i need to adjust the output resolution settings, because the devices often only support 1024x768 or 1280x1024 max...will post my results tonight after work, if i can...

Ok, i just tested the vga out, connected to an Antec TVator (pc to tv conversion device) and am able to view the PC desktop on our projection TV...bad news is there's some flicker... the device does have a flicker button but it does a poor job of compensating... at least it confirms these types of devices can work because a simple cable adaptor definitely will not...

...i think a more modern pc2tv converter will work better because the TVator is at least 5-7 years old... when connected to a regular monitor, this device works very well and can support up to 1024x768 without flicker.
