None of the thinkvvantage software is essential, but a lot of it is useful. Play around with it an decide which ones you want. Active protection and thinkpad powermanagement is pretty good to keep.
At least make the restore CDs/DVDs as a bare minimum. -
how bout the simcard slot ? near the battery slot i will take a picture about it
just hope u can tell me what is that -
LMAO I had the exact same question as you...

You mean you deleted some of the thinkvantage programs? If you go to lenovo support you can download any of the thinkvantage programs.
I don't have a t400, if you take a picture I can try guessing -

Did you delete powermanagement? Redownload it if you did
-
heh I had that prob yesterday. i've experienced it a couple of times before too.
tell us what you've been doing first. if youve been _deleting_ then you're probably going to need to be _reinstalling_ to fix this.
If youve been playing with msconfig or something then just check there and check the box of program back on for startup. you would also need to restart.
If its another issue, there are fixes related to modifying registry
you can also check on your display settings under advanced. -
i just restore my pc to std manufacture
now i got a few question bout the switchable graphics since it just suddenly unswitchable do u know why ? -
err no? you tried right clicking on power manager and swtiching grahics right

after i restore it no problem at all
i just try to change from ati to gma
then from gma to ati again on one start up
it just fail
and about the simcard slot i dunno
how to use it ? -
i think you need a WWAN card and a service for wireless on the go. but without the service and with the card you can use their GPS i hear
