on my t60-6371 i can hibernate fine but it never wakes up from sleep correctly. it seems that it is about to wake up (num lock and caps lock flash) but the screen never comes on.

i am running v7.14.10.1187 (recommended by windows update) for the intel 945gm display driver. i tried uninstalling it and reinstalling the video driver, but that didnt fix it. as far as i know there are no other versions available for download from lenovo's website, and if you try to install a version from intel's site you are blocked by the installer.

so i am left with the original version of the driver (the on that ships with windows) or the one i am using. neither allows the wakeup to happen. i know the problem could lie somewhere else, but the display driver would be the first place to look.

    1) WHAT OTHER VERSIONS of the display adapter are out there, if any?
    2) ANYONE IS ABLE TO sucessfully wakeup from slepp using the driver version above (1187)?
    3) there are no conflicts in the device manager and i am running all the latest drivers. any clues on where to look next?

    thanks

i have the same exact problem with my z61t 9440-D9U.

it works about 60% of the time, but that's not nearly reliable enough.

there are a few, mostly non public, hotfixes designed to deal with this problem. i installed all the pertinent ones but still no go. they are all supposed to be built in SP1, due mid 2007.

only reason i am using vista is because i couldnt purchase the specific laptop i wanted w/o paying for a license of windows. otherwise i'd be fine in XP probably until vista SP2.
