This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    vista won't shut down until I remove sd card

    It's odd. I don't have readyboost enabled, don't do anything with the sd card other than back up some data to it once every 2-3 boots.
    But Vista won't shut down until I physically remove the card.

    Anybody with the same problem?

    Im guessing its your notebook making sure you dont "forget" it in there
