w520 docking station, does it give you 2 NICS or is the 1 NIC just passed through?

I need to test a program that needs two nics. Was wondering if the dock nic is presented and I'll get 2 or is it just passed through and I only get 1 nic. Thanks

The dock doesn't have an NIC in it.

I'm pretty sure between the usb and the dvi port is the gb lan port.

What I meant was, the dock doesn't have a second Network Interface Card in it. The lan port is just a pass-through.

ah ok thanks, is the esata the same? I also need 2 esata ports but I'm guessing it's passed through also.

eSATA is real: can use the laptop eSATA port AND the dock one.
