hello guys. regarding a w520, Above the keyboard panel between the volume buttons and the thinkvantage button. can you see like a metal thing (its like you can see inside the laptop) is this normal? and you can kind of see inside the laptop on the right side of the panel as well (from middle of that panel to the power button roughly) it can be seen when looking directly above the panel of where the volume buttons etc are. (look down perpendicular to the top of the thinkvantage panel) and not if you are leaned back. do you have this? is this normal? this video shows it too if you look close you can see the silvery thing. at like 2:48 in the video. it just doesnt look nice and properly done. this was the only one i could find on the internet similar to what im talking about.

like there is a gap there. between that volume, thinkvantage, power button panel and the frame of the laptop? did you kind of get it? and you can see inside.

if you click on the first image on this webpage and enlarge it, you can see the metal frame thing above the panel part above the volume button and thinkvantage button, i can see these metal silver things when looking down on keyboard. it doesnt seem right they shouldnt show?

I think I know what you're talking about, but mine has no gap. You should try and loosen/remove the kb screws and slide it up.

Ah, I get what you're talking about now. Yeah, Aofi made a good suggestion: see if you can loosen/detach your keyboard and shift it up a bit.
