    so i consider these options :

    1- upgrade RAM : 512MB ->2G

    2- is it possible , upgarde its HDD : 4200 rpm -> more ( 7200rpm)

    otherwise , at least i want keep my shard data on a faster storgae device (flash , stick , ssd , ...)

    FAQ : what is this faster storage device for this status ?

    Yes those 2 upgrades would improve its speed greatly, especially going from a 4200rpm. Even a 5400rpm would be a very good improvement. Going up to 1GB ram or more would definitely be a big step up too.

    1- do 7200rpm be supported on R50 ?

    2- if can live with 4200rpm but want a faster storage device for only shared data/projects files , you suggest which device ?

    7200rpm will be fine, but 5400 rpm will be a good enough step up whilst being a whole lot cheaper. (certain true for IDE/ATA-100) drives.

    T42p any day. Much more portable, and I just loved the design of the T4x series... :p

    That's the same one I have, runs very well, generally, the T41p is more powerful, it's also a little bit thinner, if they are the same price, go for the T.
