hy all.. I'm going to buy a lenovo notebook, but there are no service center of lenovo in my city.. I wonder if I get no warranty notebook. So, anybody could show me the difference between warranty or not??plz include the picture of it. and the identifying mark of warrantied lenovo's notebook. many thanks before...

The base warranty that comes with most Lenovo machines is the service depot, which is a mail in service. Anything goes wrong, they over-night you a box with pre-paid shipping and packing materials. You just toss your notebook in there with no accessories (or the accessories that are being serviced) and whatever RMA print-out they E-Mail you, and hand it off to the package carrier that it was sent to you with. Very simple. Depot service is ran by Selectron, and myself (like others) have had questionable service from them in the past. The Lenovo on-site warranties, are still ran by IBM and provide much better service, but also cost extra. If there is no service in your area for the on-site, I'm sure they'd just have you send it to the IBM repair facility (rather than Selectron)

if you do not have the service point at your city you'll be made to send it to wherever's the closest service point should you run into problems and need you laptop served.

You can purchase additional warranties from Lenovo. These are usually extensions of the base warranty (ex. from the base 1 year to 2,3, or 4 years.).
You can also purchase an "on-site" warranty, where Lenovo will come to your home or business and repair your laptop. This is usually done next business day. These cost more, but are get your laptop fixed right away. There try to determine which component is failing before they send the technician out, so he can fix it and not have to make a second trip (but they will if they have to.)
The "on-site" warranties can vary in length (either 2 years or 3 years.)
