This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    weird behavior with a fresh install of win7 pro

    I did a fresh install of win7 on the x220t, i5, 320gb hdd and of course installed all drivers from Thinkpad Software Update 5. The weird thing is that the keyboard/trackpad/track buttons sporadically don't work.

    Sometimes typing in the search no text will appear, or left-clicking on anything won't register, but right-click works. The trackpad works, but clicking/taping doesn't.

    I reinstalled windows, same thing issues. However, I noticed during the installation wizards, everything works.

    Finally, I tried Ubuntu Live via usb stick and everything works normally.

    Any ideas?
