When I'm doing any sort of work - applications, internet surfing, etc - the battery meter down in the toolbar shows the remaining % of 'juice' in green. When I'm viewing the desktop, the barrtery indicator is completely white and the % remaining number is a very faint ghost image that I have to squint to read. I am using (and referring to) the pre-installed ThinkVantage Power Monitor battery meter, not the Windows one.

Is this just my computer or is it everyone's? And what's the reason for it?

    Mac

I got my T61p 2 days ago and the battery meter was like that on the installed hard drive. I thought it was weird too so you're not the only one. Don't know the reason for it though.

im guessing this one is because u using windows vista theme. they will show u green colour if u maximize the application. for make it more clear. try to change ur view into classic view. or u can try also to turn on ur aero. quite make it more viewable.
