recently i've found a weird problem with my x201 keyboard. when i press down on the area where the escape key is or around the area where the volume controls are, it will make a plasticy click sound.the sound happens as soon as i let my finger off that part of the keyboard. sometimes when i press that area and let go it takes a while for that part of the keyboard to bounce back up and make the sound. so it sounds like that area of the keyboard stays in place for a while sometimes before it jumps back to the natural position. no i've never spiilled anything on the keyboard. i'm not putting a lot of pressure on that area either. it could happen if i just tap that area of the keyboard. and i've taken the keyboard off but couldn't see anything that could make the sound. any idea how to fix this? is this a problem with the keyboard or the laptop bezel?

also will lenovo just ship me a new keyboard for free if i ask? what number or email address would i have to contact?

Try re-seating the keyboard yourself first and see if that solves the problem. If it's under warranty, you can convince support to send you a new keyboard. Check out the x201 hardware manual first though and see if its an easy fix you can do yourself.
