    whats the occasional beep i hear when typing?

    im typing on my t400 and ill hear this occasional beep while i type...what is that?

    System beep...
    You can turn it off in bios.

    Try look around in Vista for a UI for defeating the machine beep (I reference something read on this 4um). I disabled the machine beep in the registry because of a small issue with ArcMap when clicking a file in the add layer dialog.

    isn't that when you hit 3 keys simultaneously it warns you
    (like for a typo)

    te beep is caused by hitting 2 simultaneous buttons on the keyboard.

    I believe I was able to turn it off in the bios or the keyboard settings.
