first of all, it looks really poorly maintained.
very empty page, and after i order something, i can't even tell if it was successfully ordered or not.
it just looks like i gave them my credit card number.
i dont even get a confirmation email for a few days.

second, i want to switch to a different laptop, so i call them up, and it tells me to wait for the next available help, but there isn't even music playing, and i cant even tell if im really waiting for anything. (i waited like 10 minutes and only hear random advertisements once in a minute or two)
so i email them at [email protected], explaining my situation and saying i want a different laptop, and few minutes later i get a email saying the mail delivery failed saying:
    ??

I just ordered an SL400 from the outlet store today today. No confirmation or nothing but after I ordered the unit was gone from the display page. I'll just cross my fingers and hope the best for both of us.

Lenovo's customer service issues are not a secret so I'm wondering when they will catch up with the rest of the world. You would think that in order to see their fullest profit potential they would step it up in the customer service area instead 3+plus week build and even longer delivery times so that you end up waiting a month or so for a new laptop. They would also do well to make their products available in stores like best buy and the like.

When ordering from the outlet it is very difficult to get a status or change anything...so good luck, but you need to probably try via phone.

The dell outlet is probably the best out of Dell, HP, Lenovo...but it isn't amazing either.

Wow, that is not good news to hear. I found a great deal on a laptop (X series) that I've been eyeing, but given this information, I think I'll stay far away from the Lenovo Outlet.

For the outlet, you'll likely never get a confirmation email or tracking number once it ships. You have to call them and insist on them pulling up the information based on the phone number/email. Seriously. They processed my order within the week but I never got the confirmation email. Each time I called I got an excuse, but one of the associates was actually helpful for once and actually pulled up my information, showing that they had already processed the order. However, by the time I got the confirmation email, it was already too late to change the shipping address (which they got wrong on the order)! And once it did ship, I never got a tracking number and had to call them, at which point they gave it to me. Moral of story: don't wait for anything to appear in your email--you have to call them and insist that they provide you with the information.

Lenovo has a pretty crappy process online in general (typos, options appearing and disappearing that may or may not be really offered, pricing errors like crazy, etc). It is rather pathetic. But...i still like thinkpads <.<

I am going thru the same process with Lenovo Outlet. Its processing speed is the slowest I have ever seen. Took several days to get confirmation then online status was stuck there for a week. Have called them twice already.

ordered yesterday, called today to change laptop to a different model.
they asked for my username and password strangely, but everything seemed to go fine. they even said they would send me the confirmation email within today.
that means i dont have to wait 5 days like usual.
but i'll never know when i'll be receiving the actual laptop.

totally feels like im dealing with third party companies
