I'm on the fence between an older, cheaper t61 vs. a new, more expensive t400, and I'd like to see some actual reviews on battery life, temperature, loudness, and the like before I make my decision on whether the jump is worth it. Does anyone know when they'll be reviewed?

    thanks

It's all personal preference in my opinion. A review gives the opinion of the "reviewer" who determines what's good, what's bad, what's usefull and what's stylish.

The older T61 has the "penryn" processor if i recall and the newer one has the "montevina".

I don't know if it's this review you are talking about or not.

haha :) I meant reviews for the new t400 to see if the temperature really is 25% cooler and the battery life really is 1.5 hrs longer, etc :)

This is my first new purchase in awhile, and I was a bit surprised that they didn't send out some t400's to people like PC Magazine or CNet before hand - isn't that what they normally do (to build hype and whatnot)?
