Hello,
i bought an X300 and the ad was showing 3 cell battery, but it seems bigger than 3 cells
how do i confirm if its an 3 cell or 6 cell?
Thanks
-
Take out the battery and locate the FRU#. Look that number up on Google and it should let you know.
-
i tried that its kinda confusing the Ad said it includes 3 cells battery, but the battery sticks little bit out
the FRU P/N 42T4522
and ASM P/N 42T3423 -
i searched that FRU on lenovos website and found: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-69387.html
according to that chart your part number is a 6 cell battery... -
my bad luck, i purchased a 6 cell battery before the laptop arrives
now ill have two 6 cell batteries...
how come 6 cells and only gives 2.5hrs on full charge ? -
Yeah, I believe it's a 6-cell.
-
thats my Manufacturer Part Number: 64781JU
it says 3 cells, could it be that lenovo placed a 6 cell by mistake in the box ? -
well this thread confirmed it physically http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=237569
i do have 6 cells batteryi wasted my money buying that extra 6 cells battery
do you think i should inform the seller maybe he placed it there by mistake when he upgraded the ram ? cause the MPU says its 2GB but it has 4GB as advertised. -
id be happy if they sent me a better battery than i bought
, unless you would rather have it flush than the extra battery life... aslo if the 6 cell only last 2.5 hours maybe you will need the extra 6 cell anyways.

how do i test the battery maybe its faulty or something ?
i really wanted the 3 cells for better look and feel thats why i ordered the 6 cells and looking forward to have the 3 cell bay battery for maximum power
where can i lookup FRU numbers for lenovo parts?
