    where to buy t61 parts?

    Hi--

    I have 2 T61s that are still working well, but need to buy some replacement parts: namely 2 new batteries and an AC adaptor (one of them bent so much that the wires literally cut off)

    where's a good (cheap) place to buy replacements?

    You have to look close, but there are Genuine Lenovo AC Adapters on EBay (for very reasonable prices), as well as knock-offs (NON-OEM). I just picked up two REAL Lenovo adapters for under $20!

    what type of T61 do you have? 15.4 inch widescreen or 14.1 inch standard or widescreen?

    I purchased a 90 watt AC adapter for the x200t from Sibstore.com - Laptop Parts , AC Adapters , Laptop Batteries , Laptop Keyboards with 1 year warranty 9 months ago for $9 shipped; I have not used that warranty yet.

    i actually have one of each. but the a/c adaptor is for the 14.1. I know i'm probably looking for the 65w one.

    if you need the battery for T61 widescreen 15.4 inch and 14.1 inch standard screen, you should look for the Boston Power one, they are quite good and has 3 years manufacturers warranty.
