So, I love the Power Manager that's on my Thinkpad T61p (and my dad's T61). ( http://web.archive.org/web/20080313073315/http://lenovoblogs.com/insidethebox/?p=52).
I'd imagine that all Thinkpad T series laptops made after the T61 have it too but it seemed like years ago, Lenovo's non-Thinkpad laptops didn't have it.
I was surprised that when I looked at some consumer Lenovo (like the G series laptops) at a store today, they actually did have something similar to the above but not quite as good w/only two options: optimize for battery runtime or optimize for battery health. (Lots of discussion like at Re: Changing Default Energy Management Options... - Page 6 - Lenovo Community). It's better than nothing though.
Do ALL Lenovo laptops have at least one of the above now? Is there some indication like a KB article or a good thread that says which a particular model has?
As I said, I love the feature and it's key to having one's battery last a long time (in years).

X220 allows me to choose my own thresholds but I never use it cuz the laptop would have been sold before the battery degrades.

Pretty much all the current ThinkPads have access to the Thinkvantage Power Manager, the interface may have changed slightly to what it was back then to the T6x era but the principles are the same. You can still toggle Battery Charging thresholds and customise on various power profiles to suit your preferences. It should be a lot more advanced than the consumer versions you seen on the Lenovo Essential series.
which current Lenovo lines/models let you either set the battery charging thresholds or have a "best battery health" option?
