    g'day all,

just can't figure out which of the z61m's have the webcam and which don't - is it simply just if you've got a titanium cover then you do and if you've got a black cover you don't?

    cheers

If you go on Lenovo's website and configure z61m's, it appears that you can get a z61m with a titanium lid and no webcam. However, configure a z61m Advanced, and you only get the option for a titanium lid with a webcam. The z61p appears to only offer the black lid. I don't know how many they actually build with a titanium lid without a webcam though...

hmmm....interesting - I ask this because in Australia, being too far for anyone besides dell to offer full customisation, Lenovo only offer *some* from their top seller program - i'm currently looking at one with the wsxga+ screen and the titanium cover...and all the aussie website says is "available on some models" on a generic thinkpad comparison table. Although, if i'm looking at the high-res screen, surely that would come under the z61m advanced....

Oh, sorry. I was checking the U.S. site. And now that you mention it, the Advanced is only offers WSXGA+ in either black or titanium with webcam form, whereas the normal z61m offers only the WXGA in black or titanium without webcam form.
