It looks like the longest time between order and ship date on your list is about 10 days. I don't know why mine is taking so long. The only thing I can think of is that I ordered with the 9 cell on a 14" wxga.

Was there a status link in your email? If there was you can click to open the page and it should say the estimated ship date and the order number in one of the bars at the top of the configuration table (I think it is a blue bar, white characters).

LOL, I think it is because I had a T9300 put in there with some extra Ram, but the screen is the same. And mine is a T61...I wonder what it would be like to have the extra p....it was just too expensive with the same config as the T61 (save that 570m Nvid number).

wtf is taking so long? most of you guys who ordered after 3/27 have already got yours. but mine is still in process for 2 weeks now.

No free WWAN here. Ordered on 3/28. No change in status since. My guess is that by the time it shows up, I'll be able to put a 64GB SSD in it for $50.

 

When I ordered WWAN, it expanded a shipping date. So that I reordered it.
i think thats the problem.

I ordered a T61 on April 7 in Canada, the day when the April Savings ended. I got a confirmation by email that my order would already be in progress - very much a standard confirmation email I guess. The "order acceptance" document attached was missing an estimated shipping date. I asked for it by email and I just got their response saying "Usual build and processing times are approximately 3 weeks (April 29th)."

I felt the need to hurry with ordering the T61 before April 7 cause of the April sale that was about to end. I should have known better as they relaunched the sale under a different name the day after. I guess that is common practice to make people hurry and not think too much about their order.

I knew I would need to wait for a pretty long time but now, after having read many horror stories about continuing delivery problems, I'm very much worried that it was a mistake to choose lenovo. I even watched a TV report on this.

It looks like Canada was chosen as guinea pig for a new ordering system. It's been half a year now but the system is still buggy. Apparently, lenovo is not willing to admit any mistakes on their part - only in isolated cases - so they don't offer any compensation.

Well, I hope I will be lucky...

 

If you read some of the new coupon posts, you can rest assured. I have read some users reconfiguring with the "new" sale, which is, in fact, new. Their configurations came out $100-about $300 more than with the April savings.

I was concerned about the same coupon thing, so I hope this helps. As to shipping, it seems some Canadians have had luck and some have not - I think you guys just need to make more noise. Good luck - I hope you are lucky too.

 

I placed my order for a T61 on April 3 and got the "All or part of your order has shipped" email on April 9. From what I gather this is when it ships from China, so now it has to make its way to Lenovo Canada where it will then be sent to me (and I should(?) get a tracking number).

My build was also more expensive under the new sale, so hopefully you made out alright by buying before the old sale ended.

I wish there was some way to know what an order is waiting on. I also ordered on 3/31 but my estimate for shipping is 5/21....over 7 weeks. I first thought it was waiting on the WWAN "free" option, but I see others that seem to be getting that.

 

Just after I got off the phone with Lenovo inquiring about any possible delays, I received a special email.
