    why does Power Manger want to connect to internet so bad ?

    what does it do, give Cisco information for my power usage every 5 min ?!?!

    I've blocked it with my firewall.

    I've never had Power Manager try to go online in any version.

    My Power Manager doesn't try to connect online either so I probably suggest giving the system a scan over just in case.

    all the versions I've used want to connect, so I dont know what firewall you guys are using but it definitely wants to connect to internet, and not only that but also wants to accept connection from Cisco server of some sort.

    newest version of PM downloaded from Lenovo, on clean install of XP 32 bit.

    go into services and disable "Cisco EnergyWise Enabler".
