last week my DVD drive got loko... it out performs most bread toasters out there when reading and ejecting the bay. it died on me![]()
i called IBM philippines on how i could solve my problem. after 10mins of support on phone, we got to the conclusion that i need to replace my drive for a new one. lucky i still have months of international warranty (only 1 year form august 2006, sucks!).
exactly 1 week after i made the call, the courier arrived with my replacement drive.no hassle. we just traded our drives and looked if the replacement drive worked and it did. i really like the way they keep their word and schedule, as the support rep told me that it will arrive to me by 9am... and the courier arrived in 9:05am with that 5mins. looking for my house

it really pays to have a premium notebook. now i'm planning to have an extended warranty just in case![]()

I don't call often as I usually figure things for myself, but I have never been put on hold and I have always found support to be competent and helpful.

I've had to use warranty on my T41 once and have nothing to say but great things about 9-5 mail in service. I wish the service end would train the sales end.
