    will any lenovo 9 cell work in the T400 ?

    i want to buy a T400, but would need both a 4 and 9 cell.
    can i just buy any 9 cell on ebay?
    lenovo's website is a disgrace, and you can't buy both at once.

    Well you need a 9cell for the T series. The battery design for the new tseries is compatible with the old tseries I believe. Not sure how many of the NEW batteries will be on ebay as there is a shortage of 6 and 9cells.

    Don´t buy batteries at ebay, since you don´t know the reseller.
    The chance to get a bad battery is more than 50%!

    Most of them are loosing their capacity very fast and can damage you and your system.

    No, the battery for the new Tx00 series is NOT compatible with the T6x series. Just take a look at pictures and basic logic will deduce that the new batteries will not fit in the old T series, and to my knowledge nvice versa.
