    windows xp serial from recovery cd

    I have a lenovo sl500 with windows vista.
    I want try windows xp but i don't have a serial to do a fresh install.
    Can i find the serial browsing the xp recovery cd ?

    if its from a recovery cd, you can't use it

    If you have the downgrade license...and you have xp recovery media that came with the PC, then you don't need a serial. XP and Vista recovery media is pre-activated.

    If not, then you need to purchase XP

    I have xp recovery cd but i want make a fresh install from a clean xp cd and use the licence from recovery.

    Define "clean install".
    If you mean base XP w/o any drivers or aything - you're out of luck.
    The license you have paid for is only for the OE version, pre-loaded w/ software etc.
