    wireless card system tray icon removal!

    i hate useless system tray icons, like the one from the intel wireless card. theres got to be a way to get rid of it. im not talkin about the wireless connection icon with the computer symbol, but the one thats a box with the three bars. anybody know how to remove the icon from the system tray???

    Perhaps right clicking on it and selecting "remove this icon" will do the trick. :rolleyes:

    if i right click on it, i get no window that pops up. if i left click, i get "turn wireless radio off", "enable automatic radio control", "power save mode", and "show status window".

    Hmm... I have Intel wireless too, but I don't think we're talking about the same icon. I have two icons from ThinkVantage Access Connections. One looks like a network pipe with a screen at the top, and the other looks like a series of steps and only refers to wireless connections.
