Hi, while i'm doing this on my T60 wirelessly...sometimes the wireless radio would keep turning itself off for some strange reason...any ideas?

i don't have any firewall, and turned of windows firewall as well.
i just get disconnected sometimes repeated, so i usually go to the thinkvantage access connection, and the button says "power ON wireless radio", problem is, i never powered off it in the first place, which means it must have done it by itself...

when i press power ON wireless radio everything connects instanlty, but then after awhile, the wireless radio powers off by itself again and i get disonnected.

    any ideas? thanks.

I had the same issue as you before and thought there was something wrong with my T60. I think there are some conflicts between Thinkvantage Access Connections and the Windows Wireless Network Connection software.

I suggest you download the latest Thinkpad drivers first and then use Thinkvantage Access Connections (Fn + F5) in setting up your wireless network. AC is actually much more user friendly compared to Windows.

Now, I don't have issues anymore even if I use windows to setup my wireless network.

    Good luck!

Please try to uncheck automatic radio control in AC's global settings, else it will keep turning the wireless radio off whenever there is no active connection established.
