Hi, wanting to replace my x61 laptop (best laptop ive ever had, but getting a little slow/wanting to replace) and at the moment it looks like an x200 because of the performance over the x300.
However, im worried if i get this x200 and then in a month or 2 lenovo will announce their new models with the mobile i7.
What should i do? How long do you reckon the i7 replacements will take?

How is your getting slow? I don't see the X200 as a huge upgrade performance wise.

Since you have an X61 at the moment, I'd definitely wait for the new X210 before upgrading. The only thing about the X61 that would drive me nuts is the 1024x768 resolution...
What sort of specs do you have at the moment anyway? Remember that with the X200 you will have a 2.4Ghz C2D, which probably isn't a huge jump from what you have now. What type of HD do you have? 5400rpm or 7200rpm? That is likely your biggest performance bottleneck.
Also, how much RAM do you have and what OS are you running? Your X61 definitely isn't obsolete yet.. I believe Lenovo is releasing new drivers for Windows 7. -
They did a BIOS update for compatibility and everything.
And if you're like me, you will still have warranty for your X61 for a few years yet.
worth getting x200 or waiting for i7 mobile?
