For Lenovo, yes, unless you go thru a reseller, you can get it on the T61p.

Lenovo still has the T61p available if you access via the following link. The T61p starts at $1064.63 and has the WSXGA+. The upgrade to the WUXGA display is priced at $134.

    http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/web/LenovoPortal/en_US/systemconfig.runtime.workflow:LoadRuntimeTree?sb=:00000025:00000311:&AID=10460354&PID=1599061&smid=1F106632CBC24D2CBD23DF19644D3694&CJURL=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.lenovo.com%2FSEUILibrary%2Fcontroller%2Fe%2Fweb%2FLenovoPortal%2Fen_US%2Fsystemconfig.runtime.workflow%3ALoadRuntimeTree%3Fsb%3D%3A00000025%3A00000311%3A

For comparison sake, the option costs $160 on the W500, in addition to the price premium of $260 compared to the T61p.

    Hope this helps!

Customer support at Lenovo says that any link showing the WUXGA screen or the Quadro 570 GPU as being available , is not a current link. Only your hairdresser knows for sure.
