So they have some x100e's at the outlet for about $320, with the single core processor. For the newer dual core turion model, it's about $600 from lenovo. Is the latter worth the extra cash?

I haven't seen a review that has loved the single core. It runs hotter, worse battery life, and is twice as slow as the dual core. It all depends on what you're using it for and your exceptions. If you are alright with dropping an hour of batter life and having what reviews call "laggy" performance, then it isn't a bad buy.

These reviews better explain the differences a little better than I can. Read the Performance and Benchmarks

They had some $350 dual-core X100e in the outlet earlier in the week. You snooze, you lose.

Yep. I saw a whole bunch of dual core models in the Outlet for only a tiny bit more than the single core models a while back. Page through all the X100e machines and see if there are any left.

I like my x100e more every day. I haven't used any of the single core models, but I have no complaint with speed on my dual core. (Although I did put in 4gb of RAM and a 7200rpm hard drive.)

Great little machine! Very well built. Only big complaint I have left is it gets hot, hot, hot!

Can anyone offer any comparison between the Athlon dual core and the Turion dual core models?
