The bad news: I recently had to warranty the battery for my x120e. I bought the unit at the end of February and, as of last week, I was only getting maybe 40 mins from the battery when I should be getting 5+ hours. :(

The good news: I called IBM support and they were able to determine that my battery was indeed faulty. The replacement battery arrived the next day. :)

So I'm very pleased with my x120e and even more pleased with the service I received from Lenovo/IBM. :D ;)

That's good to hear. We're you not obligated to sent your current 120e battery in first?

Glad that got resolved quickly; several forumers have had similar experiences with battery replacement by IBM support in the US :)
No, I haven't heard of Lenovo requesting that you return the dead battery.

Yes, I had the same issue, with the same results.

Very impressed with Lenovo support, and shipping.

IF (IF) they send you a return label that says "ENVIRONMENTAL RETURN", you can keep the part, but if you want they will properly dispose of the part for you.

In my case, that's what I got, but I kept the old battery as a backup...no requirement to return it.

No, I was not obligated to ship the battery back. I didn't check to see if they had a disposal service because I was so excited I just switched out the batteries and took off to the coffee shop. I'll check tonight though.
