Help!
It stutters for about a second.
Is anyone experiencing this problem?
It comes on like on every video on youtube.

Try to uninstall lenovo power management tool, see if that work.
-
Have you tried viewing the videos in different browsers?
-
-
Maybe just set it to high performance mode, I am thinking that the video might draw too much processing power and the x120e has to reduce it's power saving feature, which cause the shutter on your x120e.

Just notice that even on IE9 the problem also occur.
Moreover, the 720p video on it also stutter and doesn't even appear while on fullscreen.
In the other hand, 720p videos on Chrome plays smoothly even on fullscreen. Just the intermittent audio problem. -
Maybe you should reinstalled flash. I believe chrome use HTML5 to playback youtube video.

Can you run DPC latency check?
I have experienced a similar issue with the T410.
you can check this forum lenovo link T410 Extremely Annoying Audio Issues - Lenovo Community
might help. -
I'm getting some spike which ranges from about 3000us to 7000us. It also say "Some device drivers on this machine behave bad and will probably cause drop-outs in real-time audio and/or video streams. To isolate the misbehaving driver use Device Manager and disable/re-enable various devices, one at a time. Try network and W-LAN adapters, modems, internal sound devices, USB host controllers, etc."
I can't do the isolate test since I'm at school right now.
What else can I do? -
^^^
My T410 issue was solved probably by an updated driver from lenovo. I am using the integrated GPU btw, those who have the Discrete GPU still have this problem ( I think lenovo is trying to fix this now - based on the thread).
You can create a new thread in the forums lenovo community and state your issue and see if other users observed the same problem.
or you can contact support and state your issue. -
Thanks for your time! -
I've got the same issue. It happens approximately every two minutes with audio. I would describe it as a glitch or stutter that lasts about a half of a second. It happens with both audio and video playback, which makes me believe it isn't a processor issue. I called Lenovo today about it, but I missed their call back.
-
I made a post on Lenovo forum about the issue. Maybe you can post there too so action on it might come faster.
Edit: Nevermind... you already did. -
Weird, I am starting to have this problem in window media player, but not flash. Tonight is the first time I fire up a mp3, since I got it on the 7th.
-
^^^
looks like more and more users are experiencing this. I hope this issue gets fixed soon. -
Can you guys try playing an MP3 or anything with audio and do a Lenovo update at the same time? Check if you can observe this issue. You can also open DPC Latency check or Latency monitor to check for unusual spikes.
-
I manage to update the audio driver and everything back to normal. FYI I did a new installation of the window 7 and did not installed the Lenovo audio driver.
--Nope the problem is still there, but it seems to be a bit better.-- -
Watching some videos and not experience any stutter yet.
Maybe I installed the wrong driver.
Not sure but will update on the problem. -

Here is the forum lenovo community link where you posted the issue.
x120e Stuttering Audio - Lenovo Community
JamesZ has seen the thread and wanted additional info. -
I have no problem with flash, just mp3. There are occasional stuttering, it doesn't bother much right now, but for the long run I would diffidently be a problem is the problem is not fix in the near future.
-
Getting the same problem here. Ive been watching some 720p videos using MPC. every couple of minutes i get a slight stutter with the audio. Was thinking on reinstalling windows, but from all the comments it seems it probably wont fix it.
The video playback so far has been prety smooth. MPC automatically uses DXVA -
-
I think i will just reinstall windows and download that lenovo utility to load drivers
If its for my personal laptop, i dont mind doing it over.
I dont think reinstalling the audio driver will fix it though.... alot of people complaining about the same thing while listening to mp3 or watching movies in this forum and on the lenovo forum.
**i reinstalled windows but did not use the lenovo audio driver (using win xp driver).. have not got to test it yet... will let ya know later -
I checked with DPC latency checker, and it seems like the problem is with Wireless lan/Bluetooth.
If I turn the Wireless radio off, the latency comes back to normal. -
That's not good, Lenovo better fix this soon. -
SO i got to watch some videos, even using the generic win7 audio driver.. i still get that stutter while watching video
-
How many of you have the Bluetooth module and have this issue? I'm wondering if this is the issue Lenovo is trying to fix which is causing the delay of my X120e. I contacted them and they said it's a "part constraint on the Bluetooth module" for my machine.
-
I didn't order the one with bluetooth, the most likely suspect would be the wireless module

This is from the Lenovo forums (not my post)

I hope someone from Lenovo is watching this forum and can speed up a permanent solution.
Like most people here I am within the return period, and I do not intend to go past it without a permanent solution to the stutter problem (which I also have).
I do not like being a guinea pig, especially when the problem is widespread and therefore easily preventable, before selling to the public.
I do not consider myself a notebook fanatic, just a user who needs a trouble-free experience. This was my first Lenovo purchase and so far I am disappointed.
My machine arrived with a scratch near the HDMI port, the LCD part is misaligned slightly with the rest of the machine when closed, the bottom cover will not stay flush with the case edge. I noticed after I increased ram from 2 GB to 4 GB. It bulges between the two screws that are further apart.
I believe any of the competitors will not have a hard time beating this kind of "quality", when they start to offer similar configurations. -

Thank you for the link Lee-
I am aware of the quick fix, but this fixes one problem by introducing another (removing power management, crucial to a netbook size machine).
Furthermore my concern is that Lenovo does not really have a permanent fix.
This is not rocket science, I would expect that a company the size of Lenovo would address problems immediately during the launch of a new product.
I also hear stutters when listening to streaming music from the Internet after a restart.
I will wait a few more days before I return my X120e. -
