Sorry, messed up when I posted this.
I have a Lenovo x120e, and the touchpad/cursor often freezes no matter what I'm doing (web, word, etc.). Only way I can fix this is to use a mouse or power down computer and turn it back on. Any suggestions on fixes?

Just the touchpad, or does the TrackPoint stop working as well? If that's the case, it's most likely a software issue and not a hardware problem. Try updating to the latest UltraNav driver available for the X120e.

Both the touchpad and the red track button freeze up when this happens. All keyboard keys still work, so I can continue to work as long as I don't want to use the touch/track.

Just had the same problem after a fresh install of Win8.1 on an SSD. Freeze + reboot caused the mouse and trackpad to stop working. I installed the NavUtility and it fixed it.

still using mine.
have found nothing that can truly replace all the things I like about x120e, AND provide a demonstrable big bump in performance.
anyone put Win 10 on yet? I didn't want to try on mine since this is my go-to for all purposes, but I installed it on an earlier vintage G4-1117dx with a A4-3400 and it runs like a beast [just... you have to forego the AMD SATA driver which is destructive... ditto for X120E.... if your X120E seems hot to you, check it!! Will eat your CPU]
