I'm ready to buy a new laptop with AMD E-350 APU. I had convinced myself that the x120e was the laptop to get but the YB is looking very nice. Has anyone owned both a Sony Vaio and Lenovo laptop before? Which do you prefer?
I've previously owned Dell and Asus.

You can't really compare brands as a whole with one another, for example, between a Thinkpad L-series machine and the Vaio Z, I'd bet the Z is built a fair bit better than the L-series. Your best bet is probably to wait a bit until more people have experiences with both the newly-released YB, so that you can compare that with X100e and X120e users' experiences.

Don't forget the HP dm1z...available from Costco (which is a plus from the return/warranty perspective):

I'm not a fan of HP's, just a preference.

the dm1z looks pretty uhhh.. tbh

I find HP DM1Z quite ugly tbh

Sony YB more expensive about $100 extra, but getting better LCD (although res. is same)

Just noticed Sony says it has a max memory of 4GB. I have 8GB in my DM1Z.

No real need to have above 4 GBs on a budget ultraportable with AMD Fusion unless you are running virtual machines.
