Anyone know of anyone using the x120e with the E-240 processor? There is a woman I am helping to research a laptop who is her 70s that needs a simple system to do emails, web surfing, and the occasional online purchase. There will be no Microsoft Office work.
I looked at Lenovo's configuration with this processor: Windows 7 32-bit, 2 gigs of RAM along with the standard features of the x120e for $400 which would be within her $500 budget.
Thoughts?

That is more than enough power for her. I would be a little worried about how well she can see the screen, as the resolution is high for such a small screen.
-
I wouldn't give her anything smaller then 13" at this resolution (1366x768) With this budget I would get her a Lenovo IdeaPad U350 or something similar. -
Especially in her 70's, such a high-density screen might pose an issue. Apologies if she has perfect eyesight.

Thanks guys. I thought about the screen size also, but I have been told her eyesight is actually quite good.
I was also considering an Edge 15" in the present AMD series. The screen is larger and for what she wants to do the current AMD chips will more than suffice and I can keep her with the $500 range. The only thing is she really doesn't need a 64-bit OS. How does 7 64 run with only 2 gigs of RAM?
As per Lenovo's website they no longer offer the U350 and the other U series is beyond her budget.
* I'll check out their outlet.
