I was just wondering if someone could help me out, I've tried to read through the threads and couldn't narrow down an exact answer.

I just picked up my x200 a week or so ago and decided to upgrade to Win 7 RTM. However, I want to restore back to the Vista/Factory settings as I've been having a few issues with the "unidentified network/public network" issue and don't really have time to read through the Win 7 forums to attempt to resolve it. The issue is I cannot figure out how to go about restoring the x200.

I bought an external dvd-rw and made the three recovery disks before I installed Win 7, but how exactly do I restore from these disks? I read a thread which mentioned F11, though that doesn't seem to do anything for the x200. I've tried pressing the ThinkVantage button but can't seem to select the usb burner as the location to boot from.

Basically, it sounds silly but I can't figure out what am I meant to do to boot the recovery media? I cannot simply click on the recovery partition because for some reason that disappeared when I installed Win 7 in the sw_preload partition, though the other partition containing the factory settings is still there.

I'd appreciate any help, I suspect it is something simple that I just can't seem to figure out - in the meantime I'll sift through threads. I can't seem to see the USB-dvd boot option after pressing F12, only PCI-Lan and the Hard Drive.

Problem solved, the USB-dvd wasn't showing up as a boot option before, but that might have been because I had everything plugged in through the ultrabase. I connected the drive directly into the x200 and it seemed to show up as a boot option.
