I tried using my camera card (16GB SDHC) in my x200 Tablet a few minutes ago. It was not recognized by Windows (it has worked in the past just fine).

To troubleshoot I opened up disk management in Windows and also fired up the BIOS to check boot devices. In neither case did I see my card reader listed.

I do NOT have any unidentified items in device manager.

Has anyone else had this problem before (question applies to x200 and x200s as well)? Is it possible that my card reader broke (if so is this a CRU)? Note that the modem still appears in device manager although I haven't used it in the better part of the year (I believe the modem and card reader are on the same daughter-card).

if you use external monitor, does it have card reader that you can use in the meantime?

I have multiple external card readers, so that isn't an issue. It's more a matter of convenience.

the card reader isn't a CRU but as you said it's luckily a separate part from the planar.   42W8011 (I/O card w/ 5-in-1 + modem) is $82.50 retail so i'd recommend calling service and letting them deal with it.

have you tried any other SD/SDHC cards to know for sure it's not just that one card?
