Can the x200 have two 9 cell batteries at a time? One in the back, and one in the dvd drive?

Hm... I don't know if it supports smart bay batteries (I am not familiar with this model), but I do know that they wouldn't BOTH be on at the same time, one would just take over for the other if the main was low or vise versa. :)

    Hope this helps! :D

First of all, the X200 does not have a DVD drive so your answer would be no...

The ultra bay I do believe does have a slot for an extra battery already however I don't know if a third battery would work in the DVD compartment...

The X60's ultrabay had a slot for the DVD rom, which would also fit an extra battery. Three batteries aren't possible, not at the same time anyway.

Why would you need a 2 batteries though? Based on my personal experience with X200 so far, it should take you more than 10 hours on lowest setting and at least 3-4 hours on high performance setting.

Everyone's needs are different. Why does the dell e6400 have a slice that gives you 19hrs? Some people need it in fields that don't have an office around. For instance if you did surveying...you might be out in the landscape of some possible new building area, or a geological team out on an expedition, or some rain forest researchers. You can do a lot of things with that long of battery life. Remember it doesn't have to be used straight-through. :)
