hi, quick question... i bought an x200 in 2008 when it first came out. love it. but my battery died. it was the smallest battery size (3 cell?) and i use a docking station. i was going to buy a 9 cell, but it seems like some websites are saying that with the bigger battery, the laptop wont fit int the docking station. is this true? anyone with experience with this?

Do you have a normal X200 or X200 Tablet? X200 came with 4, 6, and 9 cell options, while the tablet only came with 4 or 8 cell options.

I presume you are using the UltraBase 2? It should support all battery configurations for x200 and x201. You can even find pictures if you Google it.

It should fit just fine. Here's how 8-cell battery from X200T fits in the same dock:

The little laptop feet are designed to be just outside of the dock, as can (hopefully) be seen from the photo. :)
