The x61 keyboard feels tiny compared with the x201. Is there x200 keyboard the x201 size or the x61? It looks the same as x201 in pics with the only different looking like the shape of the return key?

I used to hate the larger size of the x201 keyboard, but after a while it feels perfect. Just seen what looks like a bargain on a x200 but i hope it has the same large(r) x201 keyboard?

Are you asking if the keyboard on the X200 is the same as the keyboard on the X201? The keyboards are identical.

I think the different "shape of the return key" you're seeing on the X200 is a non-US version?

Is that what you were referring to?

Then get the UK version of the keyboard.

Yep, the X200 and X201 use identical keyboards. Many of their other components are identical as well.

Yes, but then I noticed it has a shorter left Shift. :)

Everything else is pretty much identical. The issue is the "\ |" key. For some reason they put it on the left, next to the shift key... which shortens the shift key but allows the enter to be expanded upwards.

Anyone know why this is? Is uh, backslash real popular in the uk?

If I was to design it, I'd ditch both Win buttons, put the backslash in one of those spots and make nice a big both Shifts and Enter. Also PrintScreen and Numlock can be on one button, while ScrollLock and SysRq can be easily ditched too. :D (not too mention 56k modem and PCMCIA slot lol....)

Most non-US keyboards have an L-shaped return key. The UK or French Canadian layouts are probably the best choices. The French canadian board has the advantage of being able to type the majority of Western European accented characters with limited impact on standard US typing style.
