    Hello,

Today's extra "Seven days of deals" discount makes me quite tempted to purchase the x200 tablet.
However, I'm confused whether the model available on the Canadian site has the new multi-finger multitouch screen. Does anybody know?
Unfortunately, their "Shopping assistance" line is closed on the weekend, so I can't ask them directly!

It seems to me that the Canadian site does NOT offer the new multi-finger screen. The US site calls it "Enhanced multitouch" but there is no such option on the Canadian site.

Interestingly, it looks like the "features" page for the x200 tablet on the Canadian site has not been updated from the x61 era!

If anyone can confirm or clarify, that would be awesome!
Otherwise, looks like I'm out of luck for now since the US site does not offer international shipping! :(

"enhanced multitouch" is the official name for the two-finger input panels.   all i see on the canadian site is the MT+MV panel, which is only a one-finger input.

call lenovo sales on monday and inquire about the EMT option.   i'm personally not sure why this isn't listed online yet in canada.

    Okay thanks!
I almost jumped headfirst into that purchase without realizing that it's not "enhanced multitouch"!

I'll update here after I call to confirm

FYI I just talked to a sales representative, and he said that the "Multitouch" options on the Canadian site are in fact the "new enhanced multitouch" screen.
Apparently they do not sell the single-finger screens any more.

Now I'm regretting not jumping on the purchase on Sunday... :(
but on the other hand, I'm sure I would have been pretty ticked off if it wasn't the multi-finger screen!

Any idea when another sale might be on?
Or do you think they'd be responsive if I complained and asked for the same discount they offered on Sunday? (I hadn't thought of this when I called...! I did suggest that they update their product info, but didn't actually push for a discount if I made the purchase...)

You can always use the ecoupon CAPSAVEINOCTOBER that ends Oct 31. You save 15% which pretty much means you save on the taxes.

Always make a quote even if you aren't sure you are going to pull the trigger. Do it if you are vaguely interested.

I am not sure if it is different for Canada, but when you go to checkout you can produce a quote that is good for 21 days (I think) rather than purchasing.

    Thanks for the tips guys!
I can't seem to find that quote function on the Canadian site... but in any case, I missed the boat on the Sunday discount! :(
The CAPSAVEINOCTOBER is pretty good too, but Sunday's discount was a little better (another ~$200 off)

Looks like you did well to wait. You save 30%(!!!) by using this coupon
    CAPSCARYDEALS
Im pissed I ordered my X200 last week when they had another sale, I would have saved another $130 by waiting another week.

Looks like I lucked out by missing out on the first deal!

create a quote with the EXACT same configuration as what you ordered but with the new coupon applied.   email the quote number to the sales rep associated with your order and ask for the difference to be refunded.   they'll be able to do this for you once without having to rebook your order.
