Ok I haven't seen any literature supporting the ultrabay battery in this dock, but I was able to put my t400 drive in the base and vice versa and the t400 supports the ultrabay battery. My question is has anyone used an ultrabay battery in their x200 ultabase and if so what were the results. Thanks!

I don't think the ultrabay slot on the ultrabase has a ultrabay battery connector (you can visually inspect it), so the ultrabay battery won't work. But you can put another one of those x200 battery on the dock.

Yeah I was looking to do a dual battery and get over 10 hours easy mode but oh well.

I had a look into the ultrabase additional battery connector, it only charges the battery but does not utilise battery power from it. The X31 ultrabase can allow you to use the second battery but not charge it.

Yeah its nice to be able to charge 2 normal batteries at once, but honestly that feature isnt important to me since I only have 1 battery per thinkpad. Oh well Ill use the ultrabase just as I use the advanced mini dock on my t400. May not get extra battery out of itbut it allows me to hit the ground running alot faster when I get to work.

I'll take a look at mine physically when I get home. IIRC my X6x Ultrabase wouldn't let you use an Ultrabay battery, so I doubt you'll be able to go dual battery on the X200s.

It's something I'm looking into as I'm seriously thinking about upgrading one of my TPs instead of going to the Sandy Bridge refresh. The fact I can get the bay battery working with my T500 may win out over my X200.

The t500 should be able to use the ultrabay battery. I considered it for the t400 but traded the XPS for an x200s instead.

Yeah, the T500 is able to use it. I looked at my Ultrabase and unfortunately it's physically missing the connector to utilize the bay battery.

I would deal with the extra thickness/bulk and weight if it meant I could squeeze more time on battery. But alas its not possible.
