    Hey everyone,

I have an x200s with a 1280x800 LED screen. Most posts about doing screen swaps are for the 1440x900 model, so I'm not sure if this is any different.

I hate this LCD...horrible quality, you've already heard about it I'm sure. Now that the x220 pictures are out, I think I've decided to hold onto my x200s for a while longer, and upgrade the LCD if possible.

From what I understand, it is much more difficult to upgrade the LED models opposed to CCFL. Any ideas as to what is involved?

I'd love to upgrade to a LED, 1440x900 (or higher if possible??), that has actual decent contrast ratio and is non-glossy. I can deal with glossy, but would prefer not to. Any ideas?

You would break your eyes with resolution higher than 1440x900 on 12" screen.

How do people even use 1440x900 on a 12" screen? It took some getting used to when I had my X301. I can't imagine how impractical it'd be on a 12" screen.

Maybe they increase the font size - a feature that I really don't like using because it's not well implemented in Windows (there's always artifacts of oddly looking dialog boxes etc.).

In it's default state it would indeed be very small. Similar to 1360x768 (or whatever it is) on 11.6" screen. FYI, I Use 1440x900 on a 19" desktop monitor and works fine for me :D .

@OP, Are you planning to do BOE Hydis AFFS screen upgrade?

Unreal25, I'd love to be able to do that mod, I just hvae only seen it done on x200's with CCFL backlighting, not an x200s with a LED screen already in place. Any advice?

I'd really like to know as well - the OEM LED screen on the X201 is just plain crap!
