    Hello NBR!

I have a wonderfully fantastic x200s and simply love it. I've had it for a year now and almost no complaints.

Recently I installed Ubuntu and notice that the brightness can go very, very low. It can also reach this in the BIOS or while booting up. However, as soon as windows loads and its' drivers come in to play the minimum brightness is rather high.

Late night browsing can be tedious unless it's set to the bare minimum which apparently cannot be obtained in windows. Does anyone know of a fix?

(tl;dr windows doesn't do minimum brightness, ubuntu / bios does)

Try installing a different (possibly older) version of the graphics driver for the x4500MHD. Some versions didn't give me the full range of brightness control on my x200 Tablet (this was especially true when I was running Win7 Beta).
