    x200s temperature request.

    Well currently with 1 windows 7 VM, 3 browsers with multiple tabs each, 3 ssh sessions, ftp client, pidgin and music playing Im hovering around 70-77c. Now I am waiting for the new arctic silver to cure (and I just dusted) but these temps are starting to worry me. Pre dusting and as5 the temps were similar +1-3 degrees.

    Conditions:

    room temp 75F well circulated
    SL9400 x200s multitasking (both cores at 50-100%)

    If there are any x200s owners still around and active what are your temps?

    Well at this point Im thinking it may be time to switch back to the t400 and strip mod the x200s for server duty again.

    Sphinx, I have the same suspicion about the capability of X200s to manage heat. I used to have a T61 that never had heat problem even in non air conditioned room. The X200s reached 60's just watching youtube, Normally it's in the 40's or low 50's. Now my video card may have failed because of the heat. I wonder if it's quality of the video card or the quality of the fan.

    well mine reaches a max on 46c when only surfing the web.
