    i just use a form fitting sleeve on the laptop and chuck it in my crumpler bag when i go out.

    depending on the sleeve, some sleeve can accommodate the extra width of the 9 cell battery. In your case i would suggest you take your laptop into a shop and try the different sleeve options.

    I use the InCase Nylon Sleeve Plus. It accommodates the larger battery well as it's made for up to a 13" notebook.
