I play ONE game on my x201 both docked in the Ultrabase and undocked.

Undocked temperatures reach 61-62 while in the Ultrabase they reach 74.

74 is nothing to be worried about but still is there some hidden vent / switch I need to flip?

I think most of heat introduced from bottom. And ulrabase conctruction do not allow freely away this thermal energy (Ultrabase is like using notebook on bed). To compensate factor of ultrabase i use tffancontrol with manual setting 5-6. Temperature 64-65 with constant 25% load of processor.

    Thanks for all your replies.

I was using the docked x201 with a closed screen. I should have realized that this affects the temperature. Besides, it is also connected to a 27in screen which also would stress it more than using the internal LCD.

The game I was playing was Enemy Territory.
