I'm looking tablet to create documents, view/edit documents, WEB, video 720p.
And very important for me maximum battery life.
    I wanted to buy a used\ref X200T SU9300\SL9400 for $ 600-700 or X201T i5\i7 for $ 1000-1100
    But I caught X201T 2985FUG U3400\3GB\320GB\Bluetooth\FingerPrintReader\N6300\WWANSupp\Webcam\LEDWVA\8cell\W7HP64.
U3400 works almost like SU7300\SU9300 - for my task is enough.
How will the battery life compared to SU7300\SU9300?
    Thanks

    Should I wait for X220T (will be expensive - about $ 1500)?

I've never seen such a model before. U3400 = Intel Celeron, right? It's tempting if you can get a new one for ~$900.

Interesting model. If it's not Intel Core i-series CPU, what makes it different than X200t? Apart from the fact that it seems that CPU (Celeron C2D U3400 1.07 GHz ) is actually slower than Intel Celeron C2D L9400 (1.8 GHz) that came on X200t.

Btw, if you can grab one with SU4100/SU7100 ULVs and BIOS supports it - they can easily be overclocked to 1.7 GHz. I had one of those on Alienware m11x.

You can always buy an extra battery if you occasionally want more battery life.

Yes. This is roughly equal SU2300, and a little slower SU9300 (2-4%).
    It's not always convenient.

Is the U3400 c2d based or i core base, because I want to say i core as the X201t uses i core cpu.

I remember unclewebb talking about the Celeron based Core i series processors can't really be overclocked as they don't support Turbo Boost so you are pretty much capped at the rated speeds..

I do not care about the super performance ... Is SU2300 \ SU4100 \ SU7300 is not enough for my tasks?
U3400 has to work almost on a par with them

I mean it should handle office tasks fine. My SU7300 handles Windows 7 fine, though my Latitude 13 is my multimedia laptop..

The video card should be Intel HD graphics - meaning if you watch videos graphic card will do most of the work. I've never had that CPU, so I can't say for sure but as tsunade said, it should work fine. It's typically other things that are choke points, like hard disk for when you wait for the stuff to load (hence why I use SSDs on both laptops), memory if you have <= 2GB and like to run multiple apps and a graphic card if it's the older model and doesn't have optimizations for HD videos.

I don't have a HD graphics on mine (it's just Intel IGP, without the "HD") and it chugs a little on 1020p videos + it uses a bit of CPU on 720p (40% or so). They do work fine, but due to CPU usage the battery life suffers a bit (e.g. I get around 3-3.5 hrs watching HD videos and up to 8-9hrs just writing stuff). You should be fine with Intel HD though. Due to this you should get a bit better battery life than me when you're watching videos (I pushed 5-5.5 hrs with SU4100 and Intel HD graphics).

In my typical usage it's pretty rare that I use 100% CPU - basically when I'm doing image processing at work and at home when I play games it's important to have a decent CPU. That's about it.

The X220T should have a bit better battery life but again, no one has really made a review + no one really knows what the price is going to be. From what I remember, X201T was $1700 when I was buying X200. I'd *guess* that's the ballpark we're talking about. You have to decide whether it is worth 'whatever the price will be', when we get some reviews online. Then you can ask yourself do you really need whatever the battery life will be, do you need USB 3.0, SATA3 and what-not. I bet 90% of the people drooling over that won't even use those extra features 1% of the time (but they are buying the marketing). I mean we had a post complaining about Lenovo avoiding to put certain Thunderbolt port, even though there isn't a single device using it atm.

End point: Don't buy the marketing hype, wait for the reviews if you're considering X220 series and draw your own conclusions based on facts. Not based on fancy numbers and names.

That wait won't be long, wasn't ETA for Ivy Bridge Q4 this year or early Q1 next year?

I take it the intel HD gpu in U3400 is better than the intel 4500hd that the SU7300/9x00 line has?
