I did research for the past few days before purchase of the intel 310, thought it was pretty straight forward. Anyways installed per lenovo training vids, not hard. I had made recovery dvd's prior....removed HDD and boot up with dvd. I dont see the ssd in the bios?? where is it listed in the bios?

windows setup asks for the 3 data recovery dvds in rapid succession and then says it cant find the recovery.ini file. I'm guessing the intel 310 ssd is not recognized?

    my x220 stats:

    i7
2gig ram (i know, i'm waiting on my 8gig to arrive from newegg)
    320gig hdd

well, put back my hdd and boot up is fine, boot into win7 pro, but no trace of the ssd.

there was another thread on this forum that someone could not get the i7 x220 to work with the intel 310 80gb, but other members post that the combo is fine for them.....ideas? suggestions?

    thanks.

Correct. But that isn't apparent unless you look carefully at the hardware maintenance manual.
